Outrage and solidarity over 鈥榗owardly鈥� London attacks

PARIS: British and world leaders on Sunday condemned the attacks in Central London, reacting with both outrage and solidarity.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan said the attack was 鈥渁 deliberate and cowardly attack on innocent Londoners and visitors to our city enjoying their Saturday night,鈥� adding: 鈥淭here is no justification whatsoever for such barbaric acts.鈥�
Prime Minister Theresa May confirmed that the 鈥渢errible incident in London鈥� was being treated as 鈥渁 potential act of terrorism鈥� and said she would hold emergency ministerial talks later in the day.
Manchester鈥檚 newly-elected mayor Andy Burnham said it was 鈥渟ickening to hear of the attack鈥� and said he was 鈥渟ending a message of solidarity from Greater Manchester.鈥� He added: 鈥淭errorism will not break us.鈥�

Pop star Ariana Grande whose concert in Manchester last month was the scene of a deadly suicide bombing, tweeted simply: 鈥淧raying for London.鈥�
President Vladimir Putin 鈥渆xpresses his profound condolences for the British people and condemns the terrorist attack carried out hours ago in London,鈥� Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russian news agencies.
